College Application Talk: How Important Are Athletic Extracurricular Activities in College Admissions?

Extracurriculars: The New Superpower!

Yes, high school grades (GPA), SAT/ACT scores are all very important for applying to Colleges and Universities. But along with academics, a resume full of strong extracurricular activities is considered very necessary for any student applying to colleges. They can truly be the distinguishing factor among the many students applying, along with the duration and depth of the activity that the student had achieved.

EC’s (Extracurricular’s) will help admissions officers understand the students’ interests and what they care about the most. Not only so, but ECs ignite students’ own passions and deepen their interests. This makes EC’s almost like a super power, and should be impactful, passion-filled, and UNIQUE!
